About SkyComm

Clean energy infrastructure
built on airport land

SkyComm is the aviation and clean energy infrastructure division of S.E.E. Comm Group — transforming strategic airport sites into distributed power platforms that generate returns throughout the asset lifecycle.

SC-AB · Who We Are

Airports hold hundreds of acres of underutilised land. We put it to work.

SkyComm was built on a simple observation: airport sites contain vast areas of land that sit idle while cargo operations develop. That land represents a clean energy generation opportunity of significant scale — and one that compounds in value as the surrounding energy market evolves.

The SkyComm model deploys solar PV across vacant airfield acreage from the outset, integrating battery storage and virtual power plant capability to capture value from the regional energy market. As cargo throughput scales, generation scales with it — the two activities sharing infrastructure, planning consent and operational overhead.

Working within the S.E.E. Comm Group alongside SolisComm, BlueComm and HighComm, SkyComm benefits from shared pipeline development, cross-division infrastructure and a group-level investment proposition that no single-division operator can match.

The principles that shape every programme

Four convictions that define how SkyComm structures its programmes — from site selection through to operational delivery.

Land as an energy asset

Airport sites contain significant land holdings that conventional aviation operators leave dormant. SkyComm's starting position is that every acre of unused airfield land represents a clean energy generation opportunity — and we structure our programmes to activate it from the outset, not as an afterthought.

SC-V02

Grid position as strategy

We site our programmes where the energy market creates the most structural opportunity. LondonX sits at one of the most energy-rich grid nodes in the UK — East Kent — where offshore wind clusters, HVDC interconnectors and utility-scale solar create both generation abundance and price volatility that battery storage and VPP operations are built to exploit.

SC-V03

Consent risk eliminated

Planning consent is the single greatest risk in large-scale infrastructure development. LondonX holds the UK Government's first airport Development Consent Order — removing the uncertainty that has stalled competing programmes for years and providing investors with a shovel-ready site in a proven strategic location.

Group integration by design

SkyComm programmes are designed from the outset to integrate with the broader S.E.E. Comm Group — sharing pipeline development with SolisComm's distributed energy programmes, cross-referencing BlueComm's maritime infrastructure and connecting to HighComm's road energy network to create compounding asset value across the group.
